Welcome to the Newbie CEO

In 2010 I was laid off from my engineering job in a Tempe, Arizona company. The economy was hindered by the corruption and ultimate destruction of our economic system. A lot of people blamed the government, some blamed Wall St. brokers, hardly any of us blamed ourselves. I saw friends and family members lose their jobs and go on for months applying to anything they could get their hands on and never once did most actually get called for an interview. Then it was my turn, I was laid off due to a state law that protects corrupt employers from retaliation in hiring and laying off for no reason and so I went exactly 10 1/2 months without a job, a family that consisted of my new born son and my hard working and loving wife. I didn't let it get to me as I decided that the economic crisis was not because of anyone else's fault but us as citizens for allowing such thing to happen. I can honestly try to exclude myself from it because after much study and understanding, the economy crashed because of an overloading on debt that the country took on without having a plan on paying it back. I say I try to exclude myself because I started with poor credit and so everything was denied to me as much as I did try to take advantage of the times. Late in 2009 I was already paying the consequences of what happened just like any other regardless of whether I had done it to myself or not. It was time for me to get a clue and break some rules.

I was not out to be a criminal, I decided to try things out, see I had been a manager of warehouses and ran small groups of drafting departments or other teams in an office setting and was a hard working person so I did have a bit to leverage to try to get something going. First I went for a license in real estate, that didn't really pan out as I hoped as the entry to work in that field is a usual expensive fee so then I tried consulting as sales rep training other sales agents for different consumer goods in technology and from a bit of practice there I ended working in a sort of pyramid system, not a scheme, but a system in which entry level sales could earn an actual franchise under a company but for a market of choice within a certain list... this was great, I would have management training, sales training, then actual sales calls and a bit of fun as we roamed the streets but the money was not good. I kept on struggling to make ends meet and if it hadn't been for my wife I don't know what we would of done or what I could have done then to make a living and support our young family.

That's when I decided to pursue my passion(s) to make extra cash and go to school so that even financial aid would help me support ourselves and so with a combination of luck, hard work and dedication and education I was able to turn into a "Free Agent" which led to eventually me becoming a CEO.

I have now 3 degrees, have started and sold 2 companies and currently work in other 3, one is a start-up. This blog will introduce you to my personal & professional life and I explain how I hacked my way to SUCCESS you will have a guide as you embark your own chapter in life as a NEWBIE CEO.
